A hair styling tool for ultimate control

Last night, I tried Philip Kingsley's Radial brush for the first time and was delighted with the results.

After 4 years in the making, this brush was finally ready. Philip Kingsley wanted to develop a product that was great for styling but gentle on the scalp and hair, and so this brush was developed. It has two duties as such; the rounded pins are longer in length, ideal for detangling and gentle when brushing against the scalp. Then, the boar bristles provide control when styling the hair.

The first thing to note about the Radial brush is that it is really light weight and great for manoeuvring. The shorter boar bristles gave me real control when styling my hair (my hair is very thick and coarse so this is quite a statement) but I was still able to move the brush through my hair with ease.

In terms of styling, it is recommended that you use a larger paddle brush to dry the majority of your hair and then finish off with the Radial brush for styling. Contrary to this advice, I just used the brush for all of my drying and was really pleased with the results. My hair was really smooth (although that may have been the Elasticizer) but still had volume and bounce, especially at the root. The handle of the brush is slightly square, meaning that it was easy to rotate it in my hand.

Previously I’ve found that brushes with thick bristles can be really difficult to smooth through my hair, but the combination of bristles and pins made this really easy to use. It is also vented which may have had something to do with the fact that my drying time was reduced, too.

A must have for anyone who wants real control when styling their hair.
