Part of French Pharmacy Week

So this week you've had a run-down of some of my favourite French pharmacy brands, but where should you start?! Here are 3 recommendations to suit all price points and start you off on your journey into the world of Parisian beauty.

Pocket-sized beauty: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Lips Soothing and Repairing Balm
Whatever the weather, chances are your lips are going to need some extra care. A small stick like this one from Vichy is ideal for having in your handbag, and at less than £5 it is one of those things that won’t break the bank to try. This balm is quite rich and oily, meaning that your hydration will double up as a nice glossy sheen, too.

Dressing table must-have: Klorane Eye Make-Up Remover
Ever since this Klorane solution was featured in the Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Hot 100 as the ‘Best Eye Make-up Remover’ I have been anxious to get my hands on it. I’m sure you know by now that I take anything that comes from their Beauty Editor at Large, Newby Hands, as gospel.  This lotion, with cornflower water, removes every inch of eye make-up gently and thoroughly but doesn’t irritate the eyes. What’s more, I’m a contact lens wearer and can even use this with my lenses in if I am on the train home after a long day.

Luxury treat: Nuxe Golden Dry Oil
I’ve spoken about this dry oil lots of times before but no matter how many I try the novelty doesn’t wear off. This is my favourite dry oil for all over the body, face and hair. Available in this golden version or plain, the smell is rich and expensive. The light texture ensures maximum hydration with minimal greasy residue so that you skin can soak up all of the benefits, not your duvet.
