Avene in the Spotlight

Part of French Pharmacy Week

As someone with naturally dry skin, I love Avene's remedies for adding hydration without any irritation. They're a firm favourite in my household - here are a couple of the pieces that we just can't live without.

My favourite: Redness relief soothing repair mask
My skin is naturally quite pink and is prone to redness especially after removing make-up. To calm my skin after cleansing, this repair mask works really well. It is balmy in texture and leaves a light reside over the skin, so I prefer to use this for a little while (depending on how much time I have around 10-30 minutes) before removing the excess with a cotton pad and following up with my usual night cream. Sometimes I sleep in it and mix in a little Eight Hour Cream for extra moisture.

Sister’s favourite: Avene Thermal Spring Water
A quick fix for those in need of a pick-me-up, this spray is ideal for revitalising. It is great for soothing tight skin and is light enough to spritz even over make-up; in fact, it can even be used to set it. This should be high on your list of beauty essentials when (if) the weather picks up.

Mom’s favourite: D-Pigment Rich Dark Spot Lightener
A rich, yellow formula, this dark spot lightener is ideal for those with any sun damage. My mom is very fair and has always stayed out of the sun so luckily she doesn’t have any dark spots, but she still finds this great for evening the skin tone. Ideal for dry and dry skins, this is unscented and mom loves it is gentle enough for her sensitive skin.

For rich, cost effective skincare, Avene is your French pharmacy saviour!
