Make-up that does more

When it comes to colour, Elizabeth Arden may not have previously been your first choice. Skincare? Absolutely. Eight Hour Cream? I always have it in my cupboard, it's an essential. But colour? Perhaps not. That's all about to change this September though, as a new line-up of colour-rich lipstick shades is to be unveiled.

Encased in a beautiful new packaging to celebrate the classic ‘Red Door’ of Elizabeth Arden, 24 shades have been curated by the brand’s global make-up artist, Rebecca Restrepo. With a range of reds (including a stunning cool red called ‘Red Door Red’) and a multitude of other shades, there’s something for everyone in the new line up.

Now that the seasons are changing, it’s more important than ever to up the moisture in your regime, especially for the lips which can easily become dry and cracked. With these new additions, you’ll be able to keep your lips in great condition without compromising on statement colour. The formula has been infused with Shea Butter to soothe and protect, vitamins A, C and E for added moisture, and Elizabeth Arden’s Volulip technology to plump and hydrate the lips.

So which shades should you be looking out for?

  • Red Door Red – named after the classic Red Door of Elizabeth Arden, this cool red is just the thing to brighten up a muted Autumnal wardrobe.
  • Pink Pink – a pretty shimmer finish pink, this gives all of the richness of a shimmer lipstick with none of those dated connotations. Perfect to soften smoky eyes or team with a fresh pink cheek.
  • Tropicoral – already proven to be a universal favourite among the UK beauty editors, this fresh coral shade is just the thing to brighten dull skin and keep that summer feeling alive.
  • Fig – a rich plum shade to work office to dancefloor in one firm sweep.

They look truly luxurious in your handbag, glide on with ease and leave a lasting colour for hours. The bottom line is, there’s nothing not to like.

Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Colour Lipstick Collection is available later this month from www.elizabetharden.co.uk. Make sure you keep them in mind for Christmas, too; they’re too indulgent not to share.
