For Belle Sauvage, influences were drawn from the 1940’s film noir genre.

Key Artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis wanted to mix up the traditional element of a smoky eye, so she used the same shapes and techniques but with all white products. She washed Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Sugar Gaze, a cream with blue opalescent glow, and added precise, sculpted lines with an Eye Definer in White.

Skin was glowing and luminous in this show with Moisture Foundation as a base. Next, a futuristic highlight with blue undertones was used to accentuate the cheekbones. Contrary to previous glowing skin trends, we’re now veering away from golden highlights and going for a modern, cooler accent. Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Sugar Gaze was her tool of choice.

Geisha influences shone through a defined lip look, with Extra Virgin Minerals used to block out the lips and Rosey Red Lip Liner used to recreate a heart shaped pout. This was topped with lipstick and gloss to give a high shine, bold beauty look in contrast to the subtlety of skin and eyes.

In short: glowing skin, fresh white eyes and a bold, statement lip are Belle Sauvage’s AW14 beauty picks.
