So Laque Nude Collection

I'm not a nude nail kinda gal. I'm meticulous about doing my nails and like them to look just that - done.

But Bourjois’ off-nude collection is just the thing for the beige phobic like me. Each shade is a muted pastel, ranging from a pink-white to a hot chocolate brown, and gives nude a kick up the backside with a full coverage glossy finish.

Although these have been designed with short nails in mind, they’ve looked divine on my long nails this week. I’ve had Tombee a Pink on for a few days now and my chubby hands look infinitely leaner.

My favourites…

  • Peace and Mauve – a fresh lilac that gives a bright finish after 3 coats and is somehow more wearable than a pure white.
  • Tombee a Pink –  a vintage rose pink that elongates even the shortest of nails and leaves a curt, groomed finish.

In a daring move for spring (this is normally the time for us to crack out the acid brights), Bourjois have released a stunning collection of nudes that I can’t quite put away.

To seal the deal? Try their new Instant Dry Solution. Add a tiny drop to freshly painted nails and it will leave them touch dry in a mere 20 seconds. Watching it work is bizarre; it sort of spreads across the nail and branches out like a spider might when outstretching it’s legs. But one thing is for sure, it’s quick, effective, and much more practical than my usual ‘douse them in oil until they’re suffocated’ drying technique. It’s one of the handiest nail innovations I’ve seen in some time and despite changing my nails 1-2 times per week this bottle is going to last an eternity.

Very pretty creamy shades, the muted pastels are a nice change from the ice cream colors :o) Xx
