New from the Babyliss Diamond Radiance Collection

With naturally quite frizzy curls, styling my hair is not my favourite job in the world.

I like to use tools that are quick and easy, and a few months ago I bought a Babyliss Curling Wand which completely revolutionised my hair styling routine. Now, I can achieve quick, easy curls that last for days. You can read my thoughts on that wand here. CURLS Now, Babyliss are back with an all singing all dancing version of the same product. The main differences are two-fold, but they’re worth shelling out the extra tenner for.

The original Curling Wand Pro

(The original Curling Wand Pro)

Firstly there’s a change in the technology. The wand itself is comprised of diamond-infused ceramic, meaning that heat will be more evenly distributed and ions are going to work to combat frizz and static. The press blurb is long and detailed but all you need to know is that I have certainly found a difference in the smoothness of my hair with this wand. Secondly, and more to my liking, the wand itself contains swooping grooves. When you wrap your hair into place, this helps to ensure that your curls are neat and even. With my original wand, I’d found a lot of the time that my curls started bigger at the root and tailed off into small, tighter curls at the ends. The DW wand is so much more practical for creating a symmetrical look, but you’ll love the original if you like to mix up your hair with tighter or looser curls accordingly. Diamond Waves The real shocker about these wands is the price. My original wand was £25, and Diamond Waves comes in at £33. It’s unreal! £33 for curls that, on my hair, last a good four days after a few helpings of dry shampoo. I can’t recommend this enough. If curls aren’t your thing, be sure to check out the new Diamond Dryer, £55, and Diamond Straightener, £80, both new additions to the range.
