NEW for cool or golden blondes

As someone that loves a cool, milky blonde, I'm always trying new silver shampoos. What drives me mad, however, is when I accidentally go OTT and end up looking grey.

Redken are one step ahead with a really clever new Custom Tone Conditioner. It comes in two variations, one for cool blondes and one for golden blondes, and combines toner and conditioner. When you apply it you get a measure of both and you can custom blend your strength. Using a dial from 1-6, you can either select option 1 for a very low concentrate of toner, or option 6 for a really colour correcting treatment. This way you get exactly the finish you want with every wash. Dial 6 is brilliant for a post-salon colour correct if your highlights have come up a little warmer than you wanted them to.

Blonde Idol Conditioner

Personally, I find it best to use this with a separate conditioner and a Tangle Teezer. Apply a small amount of regular conditioner and brush this through. Then, work your Blonde Idol treatment in and again brush through. Using the Tangle Teezer will ensure that it is really evenly distributed through the hair, meaning that every section of hair benefits from a colour freshen up.

There’s a shampoo in the range too, but it is super mild and fine to use with each wash without leaving you all Dame Edna. As with all Redken shampoos you get a really think, nourishing lather and hair feels squeaky clean afterwards.

To custom tone your colour in between salon visits, this is definitely one of the best ranges I’ve tried. Pick up the Custom ToneĀ if nothing else!

Redken’s Blonde Idol range is available now – and currently a little cheaper than usual – on feelunique.com.
