Eyes, blush and brushes

This spring, Zoeva have released the Spectrum Collection, one that they say worships colour in all of Mother Nature's splendour.

Warm Spectrum palette, £28.50

I am BEYOND excited to see the launch of a new palette that isn’t neutral! I love neutral make-up palettes, lots of them are staples in my make-up selection, but last year the world and his wife released a neutral palette and colour seemed to take a back seat.

Zoeva Warm Spectrum Palette

The Warm Spectrum palette contains all of the classic chocolatey shades that you need to create a classic smoky eye, with lots of colour accents to make them pop. Inspired by a volcano, the spectrum ranges from warm flame hues to ashy grey shades. With four different types of finish, this palette merges matte, satin, pearl and duochrome finishes. The blue/brown, for example, will create a smouldering finish on first glance but gleam like blue when the light hits it. Here’s how I wore it the other day with some plum on the lower lash line.

Pink Spectrum blush palette, £15.00

The Pink Spectrum blush palette is great for your make-up kit if you like pink blusher shades. Ranging from soft to bright pinks, I like to use a softer shade all over the cheek and then add a pop of blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Zoeva Rose Spectrum Palette

Rose Golden single brushes, from £6.50

Zoeva have now expanded the number of brushes that they sell individually which is brilliant because often they come in sets.

They wear and wash brilliantly. The 112 Face Curve brush (£12.50) is great for building a full coverage, and the slightly larger surface area means that my make-up is applied even more quickly. The Luxe Pencil (£7.50) is great for smudging under the lash line and the corners of the eyes, and it is slightly more precise than the average pencil brush so this will work really well to blend out lines in more detailed eyeshadow looks like cut creases. But on top of performance the packaging is just divine. A rose gold and blush body, these would make an especially lovely gift for someone.

Others to start with as your staples would be the 228 Luxe Crease, 232 Luxe Classic Shader and 105 Luxe Face Highlighter.

Zoeva’s Spectrum Collection is now available from www.love-makeup.co.uk.
