Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick Review

Creamy, adaptable coverage

For every day of February, I'll be reviewing a different complexion product.

Day 8: Skin Foundation Stick

Level of coverage

A completely buildable coverage, you can go from very sheer or full coverage depending on how much you apply.

Finish

I’d describe this as being like a second skin, a slightly velvet finish with a natural luminosity.

Longevity

I tend to touch this up around the t-zone through the day, but the stick is so light and portable that this is super easy and takes all of 10 seconds.

Techniques that you might need to know

The brush you use to apply this will hugely impact the level of coverage you get. Use a softer brush for a sheer finish or something firm like a flat foundation brush to achieve a fuller coverage.

You’ll like this if…

– You want the diversity of having something fresh for work and being able to build your coverage for night time

– You struggle to find the perfect shade. This comes in 24 shades, Bobbi’s biggest shade selection.

Avoid if…

This is very rich and creamy so if you have an oily skin type be sure to secure with a powder.

Products that work well with this

I’d definitely recommend setting this with a powder. Bobbi has the most amazing nude powders coming soon – I saw them on Sali Hughes’ Instagram page a couple of weeks ago. They’re like her Brightening Powders but they merge illuminator and classic setting powder.

Everything else I need to tell you

As my friend Sophie would say, this is an absolute dream for the girl on the go. It is so handy to throw in your bag and you can just dab it straight on and blend with your fingers.

If I had to describe this foundation in one sentence…

A handy foundation for on the go, the Bobbi foundation stick is ideal for touching up through the day and tailoring your coverage for every different occasion.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick costs £29.50 and is available nationwide. Did you know that the Bobbi philosophy is to teach you how to apply your make-up rather than just sell it to you? Book in to your local counter for a lesson. They’re complimentary and you will learn so much.
