Pixi Illuminating Tint and Conceal Review

The no-make-up saviour

For every day of February, I'll be reviewing a different complexion product.

Day 13: Pixi Illuminating Tint and Conceal

Level of coverage

This product teams a full coverage concealer and a tinted moisturiser, so coverage is very adaptable. The moisturiser alone is sheer and with concealer you can build anything up to a medium coverage.

Finish

Doing what it says on the tin, the finish is illuminating and quite dewy.

Longevity

This is very sheer but you can rely on it to last well through the day. You may want to blot the concealer down the t-zone through the day when it starts to feel sheer.

Techniques that you might need to know

I really recommend using your hands to apply this one. You get such a soft, velvety finish when you do. I’d also recommend blotting the concealer down the t-zone and centres of cheeks if you want to build a fuller coverage, working the tinted moisturiser straight over it.

You’ll like this if…

– You like a no-make-up kind of look

– You want a fresh finish but need to conceal minor redness or blemishes

– You have dry skin. This is very hydrating

Avoid if…

Oily skin types may find this too rich. You will also want to opt for something with full coverage like the Pixi Foundation Stick if you want to conceal more prominent blemishes or redness.

Products that work well with this

Use the Flawless Beauty Primer underneath this for the glowiest ever skin finish.

Everything else I need to tell you

This is one of my favourite products for off days. As someone with some redness in my skin, this helps me to fake a no-make-up look but conceals what I need it to. Busy moms will love to apply this in 2 seconds flat before the school run to fake the illusion of well-slept skin!

If I had to describe this foundation in one sentence…

The perfect base for a no-make-up kind of make-up.

Pixi’s Illuminating Tint and Conceal costs £26.00 and is available from the Pixi Boutique on Foubert’s Place (just off Carnaby St, London) or nationwide at selected M&S.
