A Contour Lover's Dream

To create a flawless, full coverage make-up, I've been using two new powders from Rodial. They're both divine, especially for those who like to contour.

Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder, £52

Banana Powder is something that always interests me because I’m naturally very pink. By nature, the yellow of Banana Powder is great for colour correcting any redness in the cheeks, sallowness in the skin or blue tones under the eyes.

I’ve been using this all over my face to set my base. Despite the yellow undertones, it is sheer enough to go over your whole complexion.

For those that wish to contour, this is going to be ideal to set the lighter parts of your contour or for indulging in the baking make-up trend. Take this over your concealer under the eyes, across the cheekbones, down the nose and in the centres of forehead and chin to give a flawless, highlighted glow to the skin. When applied in this way it gives a very flawless, full coverage finish.

Here’s the banana powder in natural light and next to the blue setting powder from The Estee Edit, just so that you can get a look at how bright it comes up!

The consistency is brilliant for absorbing oil. It takes down any shine without leaving the complexion looking dry or cakey.

Instaglam Compact Deluxe Contouring Powder Dark

A really unique shade of contouring powder, I have to say that this is different to any other powders I’ve tried.

Like my favourite contouring powders, this has a grey undertone. The whole point of contouring is to emphasise the natural shadows (contours) on your face, so I always like to use something with a grey undertone to make this look as natural as possible.

The packaging of both of these feels really luxury; a heavy, silver and leather compact with a large round mirror. And, of course, the large ‘R’ on the front feels extra special for me seeing as my name is Rose! The price tag is a bit of a stinger – each of these come in at £52.
