The Estee Edit Skin Glowing Balm Review

Fresh and light

One of the newest foundations in the beauty hall is this illuminating balm from The Estee Edit.

Level of Coverage

Sheer and light – this is more of a skin perfector than a foundation.

Finish

Dewy and luminous, this is similar to a tinted moisturiser.

Longevity

Surprisingly, despite the dewiness and light texture of this, it has impressive lasting power. This will last me a full working day and still look luminous when I get home.

Techniques that you might need to know

Seeing as the texture of this is so light, I like to use my fingers to apply it. Some brushes and sponges can soak up too much product and make it difficult to achieve a polished finish.

You’ll like this if…

You want a radiant, glowing skin finish

You have a mature skin and want something that won’t sit in fine lines

You don’t like to feel your make-up on your skin and want something weightless to wear every day

Avoid if…

This won’t be for you if you’re looking for coverage. Either team it with a rich concealer or try something with more coverage like the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation.

Products that work well with this

Estee Lauder’s Double Wear works well with this if you want to cheat a radiant skin finish but still achieve coverage. Use the Skin Glowing Balm all over and then take Double Wear down the t-zone.

Everything else I need to tell you

With an impressive shade range, I am really confident that any woman could visit the counter and find her perfect foundation shade. This is one of the most beautiful sheer coverage foundations I’ve tried. I think the name really describes it perfectly; this is more of a balm than a foundation, something that will smooth out the skin, blur over any imperfections and simply leave your skin looking healthy. It’s a total must-have for summer because you can’t feel it on the skin.

If I had to describe this foundation in one sentence…

Lightweight, glowing and healthy skin in a bottle.

Skin Glowing Balm from The Estee Edit costs £26 and is available from Selfridges.
