From white floral to warm musk

As we transition into a new season, here are a few of the latest autumn fragrances to have caught my eye...

Viktor and Rolf Bon Bon Couture, from £57
If you like the original, sweet Bon Bon, you’ll love the Couture variation. A stronger, more intense version of the classic, this is an absolute must-have for any gourmand fragrance lover. To add a fresh, sweet burst to the main accord of toffee, notes of peach, neroli and mandarin open the fragrance. I can see this being a very popular choice for Christmas gifts this year because anyone who likes sweet fragrances will love it. Viktor and Rolf collectors will love the slight variation in the bottle; a frosted finish on the bow.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss, from £46
One of my favourite fragrances is the original Estee Lauder Modern Muse. Since the launch in 2013, Modern Muse has evolved into a collection with many variations. The latest in the collection is Le Rouge Gloss, a darker variation on the classic. All of the Le Rouge fragrances are light in nature, so anyone looking for something simple, feminine and elegant will like these. Key notes in Le Rouge Gloss are cherry, rose, jasmine and saffron, all entwined into a woody base.

Aerin Tangier Vanille, from £92
If you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll know that I love everything about Aerin Lauder. From her product range to her personal style, I am always excited to delve into her new launches. Tangier Vanille is a clean, powdery fragrance, capturing the spirit of Morocco. The strongest note to me is the warm heart of amber, made fresher with Bulgarian rose and Italian bergamot. Gently wrapping the fragrance are notes of sandalwood and musk, making this a creamy, clean take on amber. For the exotic, bohemian lady, this is going to be divine. One of the best parts about Aerin’s fragrances are her beautiful bottles, each topped with a precious stone.

Carven L’Absolu, from £42
One of my favourite noses, Francis Kurkdjian, is behind this soft, pretty white floral fragrance. Simple and clean, this would be a prim scent for a bride or an everyday fragrance. Mandarin and ylang-ylang open the fragrance, softening into notes of jasmine, tuberose and iris. I find the lasting power on this little while fragrance to be impressive, surviving the hottest of working days and still lingering on my scarf or coat sleeve.
