January make-up and skincare launches

I'm still very sad to hear the news that Bobbi will be leaving her brand this year, however her legacy is living on in a beautiful collection of new launches this January.

Cheek Glow palettes, £35

Something different for Bobbi, these new Cheek Glow palettes are divine. One of her best selling products is her Pot Rouge, a lovely cream blush, but these duos also contain a new cream highlighter formula. Available in four shades, there is something to suit each skin tone.

What I really like about Bobbi’s creams is the fresh, luminous finish they create on the skin. They’re especially flattering on mature skin, reflecting light and giving the illusion of plump, full cheeks. Although they will be suitable for all skin types, I’d recommend trying these if you have dry skin as they’re very rich and moisturising.

As always, Bobbi’s inclusive approach to beauty means that the pigments on these will work well for women of all skin tones.

Skin Remedies, £29.50 each

I really love Bobbi’s skincare range. I rarely buy skincare from a make-up brand but Bobbi is a brilliant exception. So when I heard about these Skin Remedies, I knew I was going to love them.

Bobbi Brown Remedies

Very concentrated formulas, these remedies are designed to give your skin a boost when it needs it depending on your concern. For example, there’s something to help with hydration or redness and you can use them as and when you need.

There are five solutions to choose from…

Bobbi Brown Remedies

No.75 Skin Clarifyer: best for pores and blemishes

No.80 Skin Relief: best for redness and irritation

No.86 Skin Moisture Solution: best for dryness and dehydration

No.91 Skin Reviver: best for dullness and tired skin

No.93 Skin Fortifier: best for elasticity

In addition to five solutions, there’s also an intensive Skin Salve. This multi-use balm is designed to comfort and protect damaged skin, creating a barrier to soothe the skin and allow it to heal. My dad had a bad cold recently and was using this on the end of his nose to soothe after blowing.

You simply use two to three drops twice daily within your regular skincare regime. What’s great about this is that you can create a blend that suits you if you have more than one concern; for example, I tend to use the Moisture Solution in the morning and Skin Relief in the evening.

Moisture Solution in the morning works well for me because it helps to retain the moisture from my skincare, meaning that my foundation lasts well through the day. Then in the evening, when my face can sometimes be quite red from a hot shower or cleanse, the Skin Relief helps to calm any irritation and soothe my skin by morning.

If you like Bobbi’s skincare range you’ll love these, and because they’re so concentrated a vial of your chosen solution will last you a long time. Be sure to visit your nearest Bobbi counter for a full consultation because they have lots of recommended skincare regimes prepared to suit all skin concerns.

They also have miniature sets of the solutions available that work well together. Here are a couple of photos so that you can compare the difference in size between the full sizes and miniatures.

And finally, a gorgeous smoky eye palette. This Luxe Eye Edition palette is formed of eight shadows and three miniature gel liners, all in neutral shades to make classic and timeless smoky eye looks. It’s currently exclusive to Selfridges.

I really hope the Cheek Glow palettes mark the start of more cream based highlighters from Bobbi. Everyone loves a Shimmer Brick… can you imagine if we could enjoy them in both powder and cream form? It would be a dream.
