Their classic pieces

This Christmas I have been delighted to indulge in the Best of L'Occitane collection. L'Occitane is one of my all-time favourite brands, but there were certain hero products that I had not yet tried. This box full of their classics (which, unfortunately, is currently sold out online) and has been an education in all that is L'Occitane.

The collection, left to right:

Shea Butter Foot Cream Very rich in consistency, this foot cream is almost like an oil in the way that it hydrates the skin. Perfect for rubbing into drier areas, I would recommend using a pumice stone prior to use so that the cream can really penetrate the skin. Best used before bed to allow time for it to sink in.

Almond Milk Concentrate A silky body lotion, this is ideal for rubbing into legs and arms. The consistency is like an average conditioner, and when rubbed in it melts to an oily balm before sinking into the skin completely. With this in mind, it is suitable for use at any time. The almond scent is a very welcome bonus.

Shea Butter Hand Cream Voted the best hand cream in the likes of the Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Hot 100, this hand cream is something of a cult beauty product. A rich and buttery formula, it works wonders when massaged into hands (make sure you pay attention to nail beds, too). It comes in an array of sizes and scents but this particular variation is my favourite with a sweet, fresh scent – think talcum powder and icing. I would recommend using this before bed or keeping it desk-side if you’re a frequent typer.

Verbena Eau de Toilette This scent personifies freshness. Sweet, lemon notes are just the thing to throw you into an early spring. It almost smells a bit like a more luxurious version of that classic lemon medicine you often had as a child! A refreshing scent, it would be perfect for daytime.

Lavender Foaming Bath For a peaceful sleep after a long day, a Lavendar Foaming Bath is just the thing to soothe and calm you. A little goes a long way, and, as well as feeling pampered by your soak among bubbles, the formula is filled with essential oils, leaving your skin hydrated with no need to reach for any lotions and potions before bed.

Cherry Blossom Bath & Shower Gel Although this is descibed as having a cherry fragrance, the scent is much muskier and deeper than you may expect. I adore this shower gel; it makes you feel squeaky clean and the smell is quite masculine. It works into a creamy lather and the scent lasts all day.

Almond Shower Oil Gliding onto the skin as oil, the formula of this Almond Shower Oil turns to a creamy lather when it mixes with water. Think of a mixture between shower gel and body lotion with the hydrating qualities of oil and you’re about there. With a delicious almond scent, this goes perfectly with the Almond Milk Concentrate.

Think you’re ready to explore the brand? Good timing! They’ve got up to 50% off in their winter sale. See you there!
