Elizabeth Arden's newest skincare release

For the past few weeks, my mom and I have been using the latest Prevage release from Elizabeth Arden. We are both fans of the former Prevage face serum and so we were keen to see how this one would differ.

The first thing that I noticed was that the formula was much runnier in comparison to the former Prevage serum. It is infused with light reflecting particles which are great for perking up a tired face, and the applicator is designed to help you to apply the right amount. Using a dropper system, you press the yellow button on the lid which will absorb the correct amount of serum for one application. Considering that this serum is at a higher price point, this is essential for making sure you’re getting the most out of it and not using too little or to much.

The scent of the serum is very soft and mild; for those of you that aren’t very pleased by scented skincare I’m sure you’d be fine with this. The light scent that it does have is very fresh and will make you feel clean and polished before a new day or just before bed.

Now for the real question… how did it work?

Me: I’ve found that the Prevage has worked wonders for helping to soothe and calm the redness in my skin. I’m naturally very pink and this has helped me to even my skin tone. Another thing that I have to watch is dryness of my skin. This has helped to keep everything plump and moisturised without being too oily.

My mom: My mom has been thrilled with the results of using this serum. Not only has she noticed that her skin looks brighter, but at 62 she feels as though her skin is plumper. She, too, has found that the redness in her skin isn’t so noticeable now. I would note that my mom has been finishing off with an Elizabeth Arden night cream whereas I’ve been using mine alone after cleansing and toning.

Elizabeth Arden have spoken about this serum with ‘proof, not promises’. After testing the formula, they proved that Prevage causes a visible difference to the skin in just 15 minutes. 12 weeks down the line, 97% of women stated an improvement in the overall appearance of the skin.

At £160.00 for 1.0 fl. oz, this serum isn’t cheap but from what we’ve seen it is certainly worth the price tag.
