Creamy Skincare Picks

Ever since I saw Newby Hands on a behind the scenes video with Nude, I knew it was a range I had to try. She notes that on using Nude, just 3-4 days in she felt as though it was working and that her skin was softer.

I’ve been using a few Nude pieces for around a month now, and have come to find that as always Newby was spot on – this is truly a great range for encouraging super soft skin.

Replenish Daily Moisturiser
A rich but easily absorbed moisturiser, this is a lovely cream for face and neck. The scent is slightly odd and won’t be for everyone (I’d say it is almost a little like Play Doh) but personally I love it. Massaged onto cleansed skin, it loosens my skin and creates a smooth, creamy base for make-up. I like to let this settle into my skin for a few minutes before applying my foundation, and the result is instant hydration with a smooth make-up finish. After just a few days of use I found my skin looked more plump and felt softer. Now, I need less than when I first started to use it as my skin seems to retain the hydration for longer. An all round winner.

Perfect Polish Mask – great for dry or sensitive skin in particular
A treat for 2-3 times a week, I’ve been using this alongside my regular skincare routine for a night time polish. The instructions are to massage into a wet face and neck before rinsing with warm water, but I’ve been working this into dry skin and leaving for 30 minutes or so before rinsing. A cream coloured, slightly beaded mask, this is very easy to massage into the skin and I’ve found that with a mere few circular motions the beads disintegrate. Using a traditional face cloth to rinse (don’t go overboard with a muslin cloth, the two together will be too harsh) my skin feels soft and buffed after use.

Perfect Polish

Miracle Mask
Now this is an exfoliator for an instant perk me up. An oilier formula than the Perfect Polish Mask, this is runny but rich and far denser in terms of rice beads. Massage into damp skin to remove any dead skin cells and general grime and dirt, instantly unveiling a brighter complexion. I like to use mine after a micellar cleansing water so that most of my make-up is removed and my skin is ready for a proper clean. Be sure to up your SPF after using this as it may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. At £38.00, this is £10.00 more expensive than the Perfect Polish mask but you’ll use the Miracle Mask less so it all works out around the same.

If you’ve not tried anything from Nude yet, these are all brilliant pieces to begin with. It is all paraben free, fast acting and great value considering product sizes. Are you wondering why I haven’t touched on the cult Pro Genius Oil? I loved it so much that I’ll be writing about that in a separate piece. Look out for that next week.

By the way, here’s the video from Newby that got me intrigued in the first place. Enjoy!
