Synchronised Recovery Complex II

In today's day and age, it feels as though beauty has never been smarter.

Advanced research and knowledge has meant that so many brands are rethinking the formulas we’ve come to know and love. Take Clinique, for example, who have recently reworked their iconic Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion to reveal a more intelligent formula. Now, Estee Lauder have followed suit to reveal a brand new formula for their cult Advanced Night Repair serum.

In basic terms, the previous ANR was designed to repair the skin overnight. Now, the formula has been altered to repair and to purify the skin. It works in harmony with our natural 24-hour circadian rhythm to ensure that repair and purification happen during the night, the time at which these processes can work to their fullest potential. Key benefits from the formula include the likes of Anti-Pollution technology, helping to reduce environmental damage from things like o-zone, pollution and UV rays, and a hearty dose of Hyaluronic Acid, an instant, deep hydrator.

If you’re a life-long user, you may be worried about how the formula will differ from it’s predecessor. Rest assured, it’s very similar only – I would argue – softer. There’s not quite so much of a tacky residue as the last formula, and it absorbs a fraction more quickly, making your night-time routine that bit quicker which can only be a bonus.

As always, this is a lovely, rich formula that – quite frankly – works perfectly well on it’s own. By morning my skin looks plumped, softer, and after 2 weeks of use I noticed an overall improvement in the tone and hydration levels of my skin. If, however, you want an extra boost of hydration, teaming this with your usual night cream will have your skin looking and feeling plump and dewy.

(Wondering about the eyes? I also use the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum. It’s worth investing if you’re an ANR lover because the two work really well together.)

If anti-ageing or hydration are concerns of yours, this is well worth the investment. A small amount goes a long way and results are visible in no time. Don’t be put off by the anti-ageing properties if you’re younger; I’m 23 and find this just as useful for my eternally dry skin.

Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex is available from from £48.00.

Have you tried this or do you have anything else you’d like to ask me about it? Get in touch – I’d love to hear from you!
