Why You Need a Clarisonic Aria…

A total beauty game changer

I am Clarisonic obsessed.

Have you tried one yet? It’s like a big electric toothbrush for your face. Ever since I got mine around 18 months ago, I’ve noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my skin. I’ve gone from having the odd few pimples on my face at all times to having skin that I now consider to be my best feature.

When I first invested, my model of choice was the Mia. It does what all Clarisonic brushes do – removes up to 2x more make-up and 6x more dirt – but with just one speed it was sometimes a little harsh for my skin seeing as I’m prone to redness.

Recently, I upgraded to the Aria. With three speeds, it’s much better for me because I can tone down the speed if my skin is irritated on that day. Another great feature that they’ve included is being able to customise the length of your cleanse. If you like to give it twice over, like me, you can simply adjust the settings to suit your requirements.

The model itself is slightly more practical for the modern woman. If you’re anything like me you’ve got a million things plugged in by your bed – laptop, phone, iPad, lamp, the list goes on. This in mind, the Aria model comes with a little stand (practical in itself) and can either be charged with a classic plug or attached onto a USB drive to charge through your computer. Total genius and brilliant for when you’re caught short for a socket.

One thing I’d say about the Clarisonic is that I wouldn’t team it with a cleansing balm. I like to alternate the evenings that I use it and team it with a creamy, easy to remove cleanser like Alpha H Balancing Cleanser or REN Hot Cloth Cleanser. Every other evening, I’ll use a rich cleansing balm for hydration like Diptyque’s Cleansing Balm or the Antipodes Grapeseed Butter and buff away using a traditional flannel.

If you’re put off by the price, I’d recommend keeping a close eye on QVC. When I bought my first Clarisonic it was on a 3 month pay plan and was much more practical. But I have to say – it’s worth every penny.

Clarisonic Aria is now available at Selfridges or online at www.clarisonic.co.uk.
