Flawless and poreless

In recent months, I've been using lots more pieces from Pixi and it's a brand that is working really well for me.

On Caroline Hirons’ recommendation I bought myself some Glow Tonic (along with the rest of the world, it seems) and the addition of an acidic toner has helped to brighten my skin. The Large Lash Mascara is truly one of the best I’ve tried; it’s jet black and gets my lashes thicker and fuller than the average wand. And on the daily, I’m using the Brightening Primer. It’s a bit like Strobe Cream but much thicker in consistency and with a residue that smoothes over even the most bumpy of skin.

I might also take a moment to mention the packaging. All a fresh, jade green, it stands out a mile against the glass jars and pots that dominate my dresser.

With a few firm favourites in my regime, I was keen to explore the summer collection. Indeed, I was just as impressed…

H20 Skin Tint Tinted Face Gel, £21.00
Now I have to hand it to Pixi, there are so many tinted moisturisers, BB Creams and CC Creams out there at the moment, and yet this is truly a unique product. It is absolutely what it says on the tin. Smoothing the formula onto the skin, my first observation was that there seemed to be small water droplets emerging from it. When Petra says H20, she means H20. Don’t be alarmed and just keep buffing the formula in, they will of course work into the skin and make for a really refreshing formula. Speaking of working it in, the gel formula is a bit bizarre and first but stick to it and spend a little extra time massaging it. What you’ll be left with is a soft, glowing finish that somehow looks like you’ve got nothing on and yet works really well to brighten and cover redness.

Flawless Beauty Primer, £20.50
If a glowing base is your thing, you’ll want to check this out. A small pot of tinted glowing primer, this is adds a flesh toned shimmer to the skin. Used all over the face and under your make-up, you’ll find that everything goes on a dream and looks more luminous. Or, if you want a healthy sheen and fancy going make-up free, this is actually lovely mixed in equal parts with your moisturiser and worn alone.

Flawless beauty Primer

Flawless and Poreless, £20.50
Again, this is a does what it says on the tin product. No frills, no fuss, this smoothes out any roughness or pimples on the skin and keeps your make-up in place all day. In terms of pores, I definitely feel as though they’re not as noticeable once I’ve used this and that my make-up skims over problem areas like the t-zone without clumping in any crevices. Why is it different to any other primer? It isn’t tacky, it sets quickly and it leaves my skin silky soft.
