Add a touch of pink to your make-up bag and support Breast Cancer Awareness this October

October marks the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness month, and suddenly beauty halls nationwide offer accents of pink in support of the cause. From limited edition items to cult classics redesigned, here are my favourites this month...

STAR BUY: Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm, £15.00
Last year I got one of these and I still haven’t finished it. An instantly nourishing balm, this is very rich but still works well as a gloss. Everything from Origins works well for me, especially the Drink Up range, and this truly is one of the loveliest products you’ll get all year. There’s a hint of pink colour in here too.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipgloss in Promise, £15.00
Donation: £5.00
Smashbox lipglosses are among my favourites because they combine pigment and sheen without any stickiness. Their BCA offering is a delicious glittering pink, sweet enough to use alone or great for adding depth to any lipstick when layered on top.

Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne, £82.00
Donation: £20.00
One of Jo Malone’s most classic scents, Red Roses, has been offered as their BCA contribution this year. Collect your limited edition bottle, complete with pink bow, and layer this blend of seven roses with your favourite floral or gourmand scent. The beauty of Jo Malone is that each scent is designed to be layered, working to compliment your existing scents and give them added depth.

Estee Lauder Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Pink Collection, £28.00
Donation: £10.00
This would make a lovely Christmas gift if you’re planning ahead. Girlie girls will love this seeing as it merges three pinks – a bright lipstick, then a hot pink and a court nude nail – and all encased in a pink fold-over clutch with a breast cancer charm. If you’d prefer something a little more universal, pick up their limited edition Advanced Night Repair serum which comes with a beautiful BCA keyring.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +, £29.50
Donation: £2.00
The hero from Clinique’s widely used 3-Step regime, your Dramatically Different comes with a twist for BCA including a beautiful key charm and pink ribbon embossed bottle. Use this for a week and you’ll notice decidedly softer skin by the end of it.

Creme de la Mer The Limited Edition Hand Treatment, £38.00
Creme’s offering is one of my favourites because there are truly few hand creams as luxurious as this one. I hate creams that leave you feeling clammy, but this one melts effortlessly into hands and leaves your skin looking plumper and softer for days. A favourite that I always share with my mom, this is the perfect gift for a lady of any age.

Bobbi Brown Pretty Pink Ribbon Lip Gloss Collection, £30.00
Donation: £5.00
This miniature set of 4 Bobbi Brown glosses is just the thing to see you through the party season. Keep one in your handbag for a compact touch up and if it goes walkabouts after a few too many cocktails then you won’t be kicking yourself for loosing a full sized variation.
