Peaches and Cream Pigment in Nude

Look of the day

One of my most popular make-up looks on Instagram recently was this classic feminine look to show off my favourite Peaches and Cream Pigment in Nude. Here's a step by step guide as to how I created the look.

Always prime the eyes to begin with – I love the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Take a medium brown eyeshadow like MAC Soft Brown through the contour on a Charlotte Tilbury blending brush. This will give you a really soft, blended finish. Next, pack on a bit more colour with a slightly firmer blending brush like the MAC 217.

Pat Peaches and Cream Pigment in Nude onto the lid using a flat brush – try the Peaches eyeshadow brush or a MAC 239. The colour pay off is super rich; you won’t need lots of it.

You can’t see it in this photo but under the lash line take a thick, soft layer of brown. You can go in with your Soft Brown again for a simple look or for total glamour and to brighten the eyes try MAC Eye Shadow in Antiqued. You’ll use a MAC 219 to do this. To paraphrase Sali Hughes, beauty editor at the Guardian, everything women think is difficult about make-up can be solved with a 219.

Create a very crisp eyeliner flick using a felt tip eyeliner. Here I’ve used Pixi Beauty liner. To get it looking really crisp and black you might want to deepen the colour with a black kohl like Urban Decay Perversion afterwards.

Apply lots of mascara to really make this look pop. At the moment I’m obsessing over the Bobbi Brown Smoky Eye Mascara or for ease of removal it has to be the Original Mascara from Kevyn Aucoin.

Take something through your brows with a waxy consistency so that it lasts all day. I love Charlotte Tilbury and the Hourglass wands.

Finish with a great set of lashes – here it’s Peaches and Cream No.2’s, my holy grail lash.

Kick everything off with an illuminating primer like Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer or Wonder Glow from Charlotte Tilbury.

Go in with your colour correcting concealer, taking something peachy under the eyes to counteract blueness and yellow over any redness. For a light silky finish go for Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage or for a full coverage try the House of Glamdolls GlamBase Wheel.

Take your foundation of choice on a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for a flawless, buffed out finish. I swear by Illamasqua Skin Base or NARS Sheer Glow Foundation for a glowy, flawless base like this.

Set everything with an illuminating powder – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is unbeatable. Then, contour with your Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow duo (there’s nothing else like it) and add your blusher of choice.

Here I used Tom Ford Lipstick in Spanish Pink with a little MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Soar to line the lips.

Take EVERYTHING off before you go to bed! For me, you can’t beat the RMK Cleansing Balm to smoosh it all off in one go.
