Vintage make-up heaven

Charlotte Tilbury is launching her new collection in a matter of weeks and I can't remember the last time I saw so much excitement online for a new make-up release.

Launching exclusively with Selfridges this July, the collection features limited edition pieces illustrated by never before seen images from Norman Parkinson’s archive.

I’ve been using some pieces from the collection for the last couple of weeks – here’s my run through including three suggestions of what you need to get…

Limited Edition Jerry Hall Cream Filmstar Bronze and Glow, £49

A thicker, cream version of Charlotte’s classic skin duo, this is going to be great for anyone looking for a fresh skin look. Everyone is asking me the same question – how does it compare to the original? For me, it’s ever so slightly softer. The cream consistency is so easy to blend, you’ll need to layer it more to get a strong colour build. Equally, the softness means that you won’t find any harsh lines in your application and the finish melts effortlessly into your everyday base. The highlighter is slightly more golden in this compact than the original, setting off a tan to perfection.

Limited Edition Colour of Youth Lip and Cheek Tint, £35

Fresh and luminous, this is a beautiful coral-pink that will brighten any complexion. This stays dewy on the skin and lips so use it alone for a fresh summery finish or set with a powder for long-wear.

Dreamy Glow Highlighter, £39

For me, this is the standout piece from the range. A peachy, champagne highlighter, this will really brighten the skin and photographs beautifully. Take it on the cheekbones, down the nose, on the chin and a touch on the forehead to really give your whole skin a glowing finish. The colour pay off is fantastic, showing on the skin how it looks in the pan with just a couple of layers.

Miss Kensington and The 1975 Lipsticks, £23 each

Both bold mattes, there is something about these two lipsticks that seems somehow longer lasting than Charlotte’s other Matte Revolution shades. Miss Kensington is the perfect pink nude, and the 1975 is a vivacious and brightening poppy-red that will make your complexion and teeth look bright.

Limited Edition Jerry Hall Wash Bag, £35

My favourite of the two bags, this is smaller and more structured in shape.

Limited Edition Jerry Hall Make-up Bag, £55

The larger of the two bags, this comes with a glossy finish and is very light. It will be great for travelling because it won’t weigh a thing in your suitcase!

Miss Kensington Look, £190

The 1975 Look, £190

If you had to buy one thing? Make it the Dreamy Glow highlighter, The 1975 lipstick or the Jerry Hall Filmstar Bronze and Glow.
