Removes all make-up with just water

A few weeks ago, a friend told me about this new beauty product she had been using called The Makeup Eraser.

Frankly, the Makeup Eraser looks a bit like a pink microfiber cloth, the kind of thing you’d dust the top of your TV with. The box is really cute – shaped like a pink eraser you’d get at school – but I couldn’t really understand how it could be so good. Yesterday, I finally got my own and it is one of the best products I’ve used in months.

The Makeup Eraser is supposed to remove all of your make-up with just water. I think I’m so wowed by it because I didn’t expect it to deliver so well. There are two sides, one to completely remove your make-up and another to gently exfoliate the skin. When I used it, I had a full face of make-up on: heavy foundation, eyeshadow, liner, lash glue, lipstick, the lot. When used wet it has more grip than an average flannel, and by the end of my sweep every last scrap of my make-up had gone. You know when you remove your eye make-up and there’s always a tiny bit of panda eye left, some dark smudging around the lash line? There wasn’t even any of that. It was truly brilliant and most importantly really quick.

For me, this is ideal because I usually use a cleanser and flannel to remove my make-up and my flannels are always stained. Now, I can use The Makeup Eraser for everything messy and then go in with my cleanser afterwards.

I think this is going to be a real essential for anyone who struggles to find the right cleanser. If your skin is sensitive or you’re going through any issues with your skin, this is going to be great for you because you don’t need to team it with product. The time conscious will also love this; it would make the perfect treat for a busy mom.

I speak to so many people who use face wipes to remove make-up. If that’s you, this is a brilliant alternative. It’s going to take everything off just as easily and quickly, but in the long run it’s cheaper and better for your skin.

I try a LOT of beauty products but this one has really impressed me. At £17 I wondered if I was going mad for buying it (as one of my friends said to me, “£17 for a flannel?”) but it is without a doubt one of the best things I’ve tried this year. It’s so simple and anyone who wears make-up would find use for it.

OBSESSED. The Makeup Eraser is now available at Selfridges.
