Bridget’s Wedding

Our beautiful Bath bride!

Over new years, one of my best friends - Bridget - got married. If you've been reading my blog for a few years you'll recognise Bridget because I've posted lots of photos of her. I used to live with her at Uni and used to practise all of my make-up on her when I first started working at Peaches.

Her wedding was the best weekend ever and I am still laughing to myself about it! Bridget looked so unbelievably beautiful that I wanted to show you some photos of her hair and make-up, done by me and Flossie.

Here are the photos of her trial which we perfected a few weeks before the wedding. I know Bridget’s taste and I’ve done her make-up a million times so we left it quite late, but if you’re getting married and using a make-up artist it’s so important to do at least one trial and make sure you’re really happy and comfortable.

As well as writing down every little detail step by step, I took plenty of photos of Bridge to use as a guide on the morning.

This is how she looked on the day. I feel it very important to point out that we had to be up at 7am to start Bridge’s make-up and we were all still partying at 5am the night before, so I am horrified and proud in equal measure about how the hell we managed to pull this one out of the bag. It was worse than the hen do!

Now for her hair. One of Bridge’s oldest friends, Flossie, did her hair.

Flossie’s salon is called Therapy Bristol and she is just fantastic. I’ve seen so many floral hair ups on Pinterest and Instagram and I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as what she did on Bridge. She first perfected the braided up-do and then added some fresh flowers to match the bouquet and weaved them in.

For later in the evening, we changed Bridge’s lip to a lovely coral red.

A testament to our handy work, when we went for breakfast the morning after the wedding Bridge emerged looking identical to the wedding morning, hair and make-up still perfectly in place!

Thanks for the best weekend ever Bridget and thank you Charlotte Tilbury for the concealer that managed to perk the whole bridal party up after we hugely over did it the night before…
