Tom Ford, Clinique and more

Summer always makes me want to inject more colour into my everyday make-up looks. Here's what I've been using for the past few weeks...

Tom Ford Soleil Bronzing Powder, £70

The most luxurious summer sunkiss you can imagine, I love the Tom Ford Bronzing Powder. Available in two shades, what I love about this is that it is warm enough to add luminosity to the complexion but cool enough to look natural. The packaging is so decadent, I love pulling this out of my handbag.

Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer in Pink Glow, £54

A rosy glow is something that I try to achieve every day in my make-up, and one of the things I have come to depend upon is this primer from Tom Ford. Recently, I’ve noticed that my pores seem to be more pronounced and I like to use something over them to soften them out. This is my tool of choice because not only does is smooth the texture of my skin but it also adds radiance, shining through my chosen foundation to give luminosity.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Palette

Total dressing table heaven, this is almost too beautiful to use. I say almost because I don’t believe in saving for best, so naturally I was straight in. The perfect trio for on the go, this palette contains your highlighter, blush and bronzer all in one. What I love is that despite my heavy hand, the cubic print on the pans is still very much in tact.

Peaches Pigments, £6.95

Every single day I use my Peaches and Cream pigments, whether it’s Pearl to highlight or something on my eyes. I used to use this shade, Rose, to add a shimmer to my blusher, but recently I’ve been using it on my eyes for a fresh, summer finish.

Peaches and Cream Pigment Rose

For something smokier with a pop of colour, I’ve been using Secret this summer. This plummy shade works well with other pinks, so I used Kitten on the lid for this look.

Peaches and Cream Pigment Secret

All of the Peaches pigment are so quick and easy to apply but add instant glamour. They give a higher shine finish than anything else in the beauty hall, and I am proud to say hand on heart that my best friends’ brand makes the best pigments in the world!

Kylie Lip Kit in Candy K, $29 USD plus postage

Imagine how delighted I was when someone surprised me to a Kylie Lip Kit! A total cult beauty product, these lip kits are often sold out as quickly as they’re released. I’ve been wearing the shade Candy K and I absolutely love it. The long wearing power of these is unbelievable; once on, nothing but an oil based remover will take it away. I’m talking endless cups of tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner, no movement. For lasting power these are second to none, and they smell divine too. Each set comes with a liquid lipstick and matching liner which is super handy.

Clinique Take the Day Off Make-up Removing Wipes, £16

And to take it all off? I rarely use wipes, but I have simply had to make an exception for these from Clinique. The latest in the brilliant Take the Day Off range, these wipes are literally saturated in moisture from top to bottom and make the cleansing process quick and easy. I’ve been using these to remove eyes and lips and then taking my time with a cleanser to remove my base. As with all of the TTDO range, these are scent free and very gentle.
