Friday 5th August - Sunday 7th August

This weekend, the Estee Edit are hosting a 3-day party at Selfridges in Birmingham.

Located just outside the Bullring in Rotunda Square, they’ll be taking over the Selfridges Yellow Van and inviting you in to discover the brand. Whether you wish to have a makeover, try some samples, dance along to the celebrity DJ or enter their competition to win a special something signed by Kendall Jenner herself, it’s all happening.

Here’s when you can find them:

Friday 5th August: 10am – 8pm

Saturday 6th August: 9am – 8pm with a special celebrity DJ appearance from 3pm – 5pm

Sunday 7th August: 11am – 7pm

Be sure to follow @SelfBhamBeauty on Instagram for more teasers through the week, including an announcement about the celebrity DJ and details of the Kendall Jenner competition.

In advance of the weekend, here are my favourite products from the Estee Edit that I think you’ll want to check out…

Beam Team Hydrate & Glow, £34
Sitting somewhere between an illuminator and a moisturiser, this is ideal for prepping your skin for foundation. Use on dry skin days or when you’ve not had enough sleep and it will give the illusion of plump, well-rested skin. This was Kendall’s desert island product from the range.

Flash Photo Powder, £24
If you get an oily t-zone through the day you’re going to love this powder. Though it works very well as an all-over setting powder, I find this to work exceptionally well to diffuse and blot away any excess oil. This is designed to give you skin that looks filtered and captures especially well in selfies. Naturally, I use mine all the time…

The Barest Blush, £20
The blushes are some of my favourite additions in the range. All of the colours are on the bright side, which I always feel gives a natural, healthy flush to the skin and adds youth. On first look each blush is splattered with a shimmering spill, but this is just on the top layer of the blush and doesn’t pipe all the way through. I was actually a little disappointed about this – the shimmer added a lovely touch to the blush!

Lipsticks, £17 each
Women are always in search of the perfect nude lipstick, and one of my favourite parts of the collection is a capsule collection of nude lipsticks. With something to suit each skin tone, you’re guaranteed to find your perfect nude. What’s more is that once you’ve found it, each lip has a liner counterpart so you can complete your set. So clever and so easy.

And as for a pop of colour, there’s a diverse and pigmented shade range in the lipstick collection.

Hi Lo Stylo Contour + Highlight, £22
Contouring is something that I never bother with, however this stick is so simple and easy to use it has completely won me over. Honestly, I think this is one of the most fool-proof contouring gadgets I’ve seen. A medium thickness pencil, you simply draw a stripe of shadow and a stripe of highlight and buff each out with the fingers to leave a flawless contour in seconds.

If you’re in Birmingham this weekend be sure to come and say hello – I’ll be there too!

P.S Here’s a photo of me with Sarah Creal, the lady behind the brand. I got to meet her when they first launched and oh my gosh she was the most inspiring woman ever. She made me want to create my own brand too!
