Foundation for on-the-go

If you want the perfect midday touch-up tool, this one is for you.

Level of coverage

Gives a medium to full coverage depending on how much you apply.

The finish of these is velvety but luminous – it’s not quite dewy and not matte. What’s great about these is that they’re lighter than concealer in coverage, meaning that you don’t get heavy patches when you use to touch up your base.

Designed more to touch up where necessary, these are great for adding lasting power to your favourite foundations through the day.

Techniques that you might need to know

For me, these work best when buffed out with the fingers. Apply straight from the stick and then gently pat into the skin using a ring finger.

You’ll like this if…

– you want something handy to touch up with through the day

– you find that your make-up disappears from key areas like chin, cheeks and nose through the day

Avoid if…

If you want a very full coverage, I’d opt for one of the Studio Fix Concealers instead as they will give a more concentrated finish.

Products that work well with this

These sticks work well with everything. I love using them to touch up a foundation through the day, and if you want a fresh and polished no make-up look simply apply where needed and team with Strobe Cream. Launched in line with these was the Studio Fix Perfecting Powder. This is the perfect complimentary powder, setting your base with the tiniest hint of pigment to achieve a polished finish.

Everything else I need to tell you

The other day, I was on the train with my friend about to do her make-up and I didn’t have her foundation shade. Though I wouldn’t recommend it for the long term, I used an NC30 stick to do her entire base and she looked amazing. These are so handy to have in your handbag – the ultimate touch up tool.

If I had to describe this foundation in one sentence…

A compact magic stick to refresh your complexion and cover up any blemishes.

These sticks cost £16.00.

Back in February, I reviewed a different foundation every day and as a result I have lots of foundation options for you to browse. To read more of my foundation reviews, see the full #FoundationFebruary list HERE.
