The remedies for hay fever, tired feet and more

The glorious weather we've had this week has been wonderful, and it has also meant that I've had to switch up my beauty regime to keep up with the times. Here's what's been working for me this week...

Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser, £12

This is one of the loveliest cleansers I’ve ever used. So rich and gentle, it feels like you’re cleansing your skin with moisturiser. A soft cream, you can work this all over your complexion, even around the eyes, to remove every bit of make-up. I use it every day but it is especially lovely if your skin is feeling hot or tight after a day in the sun.

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Intense Hydrating Mask, £28.50

Whether you have dry skin or you simply want a little pick-me-up, this hydrating mask from Aveda is fast acting and feels divine. A cold, clear gel, this smoothes all over the skin with a soft, jelly-like texture and holds it’s shape. Unlike lots of hydrating masks that I’ve tried, this goes tacky after a little while so I’d definitely recommend rinsing it before you go to sleep. The gel is naturally cool and so it instantly soothes and relieves tight skin. Be sure to check out the eye cream from this range too, another one of my Aveda favourites.

Masque Bar Foot Masks, £9.99

If you work on your feet all day, you will want to try a pack of these. These light, plastic socks are lined with a creamy, cooling mask, designed to suit all manner of needs like hydration or exfoliation. After a long day of walking on swollen, hot feet, these are such a soothing treat. Use just before bed because they’re slippery to walk in, and when you take them off massage any excess product straight into the feet. If you’re working on your feet in this heat, get a pack of these if nothing else from this list.

Chantecaille Rose de Mai Eye Lift, £83

Hay fever is at a high at the moment and many people are suffering. In times like this, a cooling eye treat can be just the thing to set you off to a peaceful sleep. I’ve been using Chantecaille Rose de Mai Eye Lift morning and night to really hydrate and calm the eye area. Between lenses and hay fever my eyes are especially irritable, and the lightness of the texture of this eye gel means that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t disturb the area. The rose properties are very calming and have managed to hydrate and smooth what has been an itchy nightmare during the day.

Beauty Kitchen Inspire Me Triple Action Mist, £2.99

One thing I always have by my desk at work and my dresser at home is some kind of body mist. This new arrival from Beauty Kitchen, a brand that prides itself on using natural ingredients, is a great uplifting potion. With ingredients like Grapefruit, Spearmint and Sweet Orange, this leaves hot, flagging skin feel zesty and revitalised. A word of warning: this is as potent as it sounds so save it for mornings or afternoons, otherwise you’ll find it hard to get to sleep. If you like uplifting products, be sure to look into the rest of this new collection which features lots of zingy beauty alternatives.
