IT Cosmetics CC Cream Review

An SPF50 colour-correcting skin remedy

A cult product with rave reviews, I wanted to see if this would live up to the hype. It completely exceeded my expectations.

Level of coverage

This offers a completely full coverage and is designed in particular to help to cover any uneven skintone caused by the likes of rosacea or pigmentation.

Despite offering such a full coverage, the finish is fresh and dewy, and the texture is light. It’s almost gel like in consistency so it keeps your skin hydrated through the day.

A brilliant lasting power, this lasts through the day and retains a dewy finish even hours later. You may wish to top up along the t-zone through the day if you’re going out after work, but otherwise this will last well for a long day.

Techniques that you might need to know

I’ve found that this applies equally well with fingers or with the Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush. This brush is soft and fluffy and the head is slightly larger than an average 2p piece, giving you a really buffed finish. Personally I don’t find that I get as good results when I use a sponge.

You’ll like this if…

– you need to cover rosacea. It completely covers redness

– you want something containing sunscreen, this offers SPF50

– you need something that applies in 2 seconds flat and lasts all day, think school run or post-gym

Avoid if…

The only time you wouldn’t want to wear this would be if you were having photos taken, because the SPF50 will cause flashback in photos. Otherwise, I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t love this cream.

Products that work well with this

Seeing as the finish is so dewy and luminous, I love using this with other creams. I’ve been layering Tom Ford’s iconic Shade and Illuminate over it to add bronze and highlight, and then the Lancome Cushion Blush. The creamy, luminous finish is very flattering on all skin types, in particular to diffuse the appearance of fine lines.

Everything else I need to tell you

This is one of the best beauty products I have ever, ever used. As someone that always wants to cover rosacea, I have never tried something so light in consistency with such covering power. The formula starts its life as a serum, then injected with pigment, meaning it treats any skin concerns as well as offering great coverage. I haven’t worn anything else in weeks.

If I had to describe this foundation in one sentence…

Hands down the best CC Cream I have ever used and one of my all time favourite complexion products – everyone needs to try this.

IT Cosmetics CC Cream is available in 7 shades and costs £30.00.

[…] journey with IT Cosmetics, I would urge you to begin with this. I’ve written a full review which you can see here, but the crux of it is that this is the best CC Cream I’ve ever used and of the best ever […]

[…] As you know I’m the UK ambassador for IT Cosmetics, and one of the key reasons that partnership came to light was because I am always screaming about the CC Cream from the rooftops. I think this is my favourite beauty product of all time. This one cream is your full coverage foundation, SPF 50 (physical only, so no flashback in photos), moisturiser, serum, concealer, colour corrector and primer all in one. You can actually use this without moisturiser if you choose to because it is infused with so much skincare, but personally I always use a little underneath. Think of all of those steps and how long they each take; you can cut them out, and just throw on this one product instead. When you powder this (see below), it will last you the day and your skin looks luminous throughout. Click here to read my review of this in more detail. […]
