DKNY, Doll Beauty and more

Here's a selection of newness to see you into September...

Doll Beauty Highlighters, £15 each

If you like going into department stores to have your make-up done, you may have come across Danni, one of the co-founders of Doll Beauty. She used to be a national make-up artist for Stila and is a real more-is-more girl when it comes to beauty. Her and her friend Samantha have set up their own brand dedicated to a really polished, glamourous make-up finish and I love everything I’ve tried from them.

Doll Beauty Highlighter

Alongside thick, lustrous lashes and a seamless black lash glue, they’ve just launched two new highlighters. Sheer in texture but rich in colour payoff, these will completely top off a tan and illuminate the face and limbs, leaving you looking like you’ve had 8 hours of sleep. What’s more is that they don’t look cakey or thick like lots of highlighters can do when too much has been applied.

MAC Girls palettes, £32 each

So cute and playful, MAC Girls is a collection of carefully curated palettes to match lots of different personalities. Whether you’re the Mischief Minx or Power Hungry, there will be a palette with a different series of colours and prints to suit you. Each palette contains a mixture of colours and textures to be used across the eyes and complexion.

MAC Nicki Minaj Lipstick, £16.50

I know that MAC collaborate with pop stars and celebrities all the time, but this partnership with Nicki Minaj is one of my favourites to date. A collection of nudes to suit every skin tone, Nicki has packaged two of her own lipstick shades (both wearable and universal) and curated a further collection of 24 limited edition lipgloss and lipstick nudes. Photographed here is Pinkprint.

Marc Jacobs Daisy White Edition, £78

A pretty, carefree perfume, Marc Jacobs Daisy returns this fall in a special white edition complete with gold accents and luxurious white casing. It’s the same signature fragrance but with a special edition bottle. Speaking of, the bottle is glossy with an oversized lid, total dressing table heaven. Notes include Wild Strawberry, Violet Petals and Gardenia.

Urban Decay Naked Heat, £39.50

Without a doubt my favourite Naked Palette to date, Urban Decay have returned this year with Naked Heat. A palette of warm, burnt colours, this mixes matte and satin copper shades. The result of using warm shades like this is that they make every single eye colour pop.

MUA Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palettes, £5 each

Yes, you read that correctly, MUA Cosmetics are bringing out these palettes of 15 shades for only £5 each. The pigmentation is as good as you can expect given the price point. If you need a long wearing, long lasting eyeshadow this might not be for you, but to experiment with colours or find something to match your outfit for one night, definitely give them a go.

LOLA Make-up, from £8

Given the huge increase in awareness and demand for cruelty free beauty, I’ve been looking into some of the best brands on the market. LOLA, retailed at M&S, is a make-up collection created by make-up artists and industry experts to enable real women to achieve professional results. Their eyeshadows, in particular, are pigmented and easy to blend.

DKNY Nectar Love, £40

Like a bee to honey, this fragrance is a delicious, gourmand offering that smells good enough to eat. Base notes of Vanilla and Musk are entwined with notes such as Nectarine, Grapefruit and Orange Flower to create the perfect fragrance for a younger girl with a sweet tooth.

Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Foaming Pads, £14.95

One of the authorities on glycolic acid pads, Nip & Fab have returned this autumn with a new variation of pads that foams when applied. Glycolic acid is a wonderful exfoliant, great for removing dead skin cells and unveiling fresh, clean skin in its place. These will foam on application giving a very thorough, deep cleanse and exfoliate. Be sure to follow up with hydrating skincare so that the skin doesn’t feel tight after use.
